    yes

    Possibly Impossible?
Not impossible but they are very sluggish at Manchester.  Royal London don't appear to have fixed the CIS problems yet.

Anyone else having problems with them? My husband has been trying to claim his (old co-op) pension from them, since November! It should have been paid in January. Many phone calls, emails, tweets, Facebook messages, letters, etc. Today they say they are going to hold it till 2028 as they have not heard from him!!! He spoke to them again on the phone only last week. He rang the number on the letter, only to be told he's reached the wrong department and must ring the number that is not answered after over an hour!!! Just needed to rant! Hope the OP managed to get his/hers sorted. Mumtoomany.x

A pro forma type communication that is automatically generated when there has indeed been no contact from a customer?

Does this indicate phone calls not logged, e-mails ignored, letters either not received, dumped in sacks in a basement or sitting in a ceiling high pile in somebody's in-tray?

How has he being trying to claim it?
Open market option annuity?  UFPLS, Drawdown, small pots rule or what?
RL don't do in-house annuities on most of their plans and drawdown is not available on CIS plans.

Going by my experience trying to get a QROPS transfer pack, nothing is logged. It took me ages and many, many calls and emails to just get the pack despite them saying that they are definitely gonna send it this time. From the outside it all looks very chaotic, with no systematic way to action anything between departments.

Was that before or after the change in the transfer regulations?  A QROPs transfer is significantly delayed since the changes due to increased due diligence requirements.

Under the (relatively) new rules, it does appear that way as they are not allowed to tip off or state issues early on and the ones doing the processing are not the ones that do the due diligence or decide what step is next required in the process.  If yours gets pulled for enhanced checking (which a QROPS would) then the staff wouldn't necessarily know that.

That was in 2021. I fully expected it not to only take 2 days to transfer, but that was just the first contact to get the transfer pack sent by email, before any sort of processing happened. So no due diligence involved - that came much later in the process.
