Hi,
My partner took out annual travel insurance about 6 months ago. This was a standard policy which allows you to take trips throughout the year for up to a duration of about 3 weeks. She has now decided to go back to her family home in warmer climes to avoid the high energy costs. She intends to go for about 6 weeks which in theory exceeds what is allowed in her policy. She has contacted the insurance company 4 times in the last 4 weeks to amend her policy to cater for this 6 week holiday. Each time the insurance company agreed to quote for the change but has not come back to her. It is as though they are not interested but she now has the problem of what to do?
Will her current policy be adequate?
If any problem happens within the first 3 weeks in accordance with her policy will she be covered?
Do you think she should she get another totally separate policy purely for the 6 week holiday.
Do nothing?
Interested to know what other would do?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
