Which Travel Insurnace Policy

I am looking for advice on what would be a suitable travel insurance policy to take out. Travelling to NZ via USA ( passing straight through San Francisco Airport without leaving the airport). Spending 6 weeks on a road tour of New Zealand both islands. Then have a job for 6 months before returning home June 2023.  I am not sure what sort of policy I need.

You'd need a policy that lasts 8 months by the sounds of it. That will tend to limit you to backpacker type providers or the likes of World Nomads.

Whilst insurance is one aspect remember you will need an ESTA even if you don't leave San Fran airport.
