I have used Jakemans for the last few years to help with a sore throat
They have reduced the size of their packets from 100g to 73g and have virtually doubled the price as well
I am now looking elswhere for sore throat relief !!
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

Rather than looking elsewhere, I would be consulting a medical professional for a diagnosis of why you have had a "sore throat for the last few years".

I'd noticed the steep price hike. I now suck one for a few minutes then return it to its wrapper. MSE.

My husband gargles with salt water when he (rarely) gets a sore throat. Very MSE.

In Tesco, Jakemans Throat & Chest Soothing Lozenges 160G are £1.60, and at the beginning of the year they were 60p before vanishing for a few months. Then reappearing for a couple of weeks when they were £2.000
