Anyone else having the problem ?
Accepts Log in credentials OK but screen just flashes a couple of times, as is normal, then logs out.
It does ask to accept cookies every time I open the log in page.

Yes, I had lots of problems recently. Their crazy developers kept saying that my FF was out-of-date despite it wasn't. I switched to Edge. Now they don't say that FF is out-of-date, but unpredictable log-outs still happen, so I keep using Edge.
For my Chromium they still say: "Your browser is out-of-date or it’s one that we no longer develop for – meaning you’ll be logged off unexpectedly in some instances."

Just logged in and downloaded a couple of statements, using Firefox on Linux Mint, with no problems at all.
I've had random log-offs in the past with exactly the same set up, perhaps you're just being unlucky.
