Thank you - these do seem to sell for a lot as apparently they're the item people need to complete their collections - I just can't find any collectors club and the auction house I tried estimated only £200.
Will just be patient then:eek::eek::eek: LBM 11/05/2010 - WE DID IT - DMP of £62000 paid off in 7 years:jDFD April20170 -

Try local sites - Gumtree, Shpock, Facebook Marketplace, etc
Security marking does nothing. If a buyer claims it was not as described, they will be able to return it regardless. Worse still, what if it came back to you broken?? Yes, I've had people break things in the past in order to return items - it's obvious it has been broken by hand, but eBay side with the buyer regardless, leaving you out of pocket with postage both ways, as well as an item that is now worthless and cannot be resold.
If you continue with eBay go for collection only, and only take bank transfer or cash upon collection so there is no going back once the buyer has inspected and purchased the item. If it is that valuable to a collector, he/she would be willing to travel a little to collect it....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Correct - so I tell them not to pay via eBay if they are collecting and come straight to me instead.
Just need to make sure it's not set to request immediate payment on BIN listings.1 -

£500 item the seller is likely to inspect with a fine toothed comb and a good torch. Tiny imperfections may affect its value
and collectability.
They pay through ebay or paypal and your choices are refund and risk getting strikes or take your chances that the
buyer is genuine. If you want a safer option sell to an antiques shop or to a proper auction. They will probably
give you a good estimate on what its likely to sell for although auctions are always a risk.
Seen items sell for almost nothing and other items fetch more than new items in the shop.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
