As a small business,can I take a local Council to the Small Claims Court ?

Is it possible to take the Council to the Small Claims Court? (up to the 10K limit) I am banging my head against a brick wall in a lengthy dispute regarding not receiving a certain Covid relief that other very similar businesses have received .I will probably appeal to the Ombudsman , but if they are not interested, I wish…

A discretionary grant is just that, what neighbouring authorities did is of no relevance.

If you aren't eligible because you don't meet the discretionary rules for your authority you won't be paid the grant.

If you want to know how they made the decision on which businesses would be supported submit an FOI request.
