My husband and I had an avios account with 50,000 points in, but it has disappeared and we were not given any notice of this to allow us to keep  the account active, is there anything we can do. I have tried to contact them on multiple occasions without any success. Thankyou

I think Avios expire if there's no account activity for 36 months.

Hi, I have also lost 80,000 Avios as has my partner.  I had no warning that they were about to 'expire' - indeed I didn't even know that could happen to them.  I complained to BA and they gave me 5000 Avios in good faith.  I'm still not satisfied - I received no notice and it's not as though we could spend them for a good 1.5 years of the period due to Covid.  I've complained again and I'll see what happens.  They were hard earned those points.

Buy petrol, or other items, from BP and you will get points which can be transferred to Avios points by linking your  BPme account to BA or others.

We converted our Avios into Nectar points......astonished it totalled £915.
