Walsall Travelodge Wisemore Ocean Parking

I've been caught out by this, but because the Travelodge website was a bit confusing and it looked like it was free overnight.
However, the sign on the entrance is "Pay & Display."  So by entering I believe I have entered a contract to purchase a ticket and display it on my windscreen.  The car park people have failed to honour their side of the contract as they have not provided any machines from which to buy a ticket.  Hence the contract is not valid.  That's my thoughts.  Feel free to poke holes in the argument.

Plan A is always to complain to the landowner or land agent, and your MP. Start with the hotel manager and/or the CEO of Travelodge. Do not reveal the driver's identity. The driver parked; the keeper is complaining.

If a cancellation isn't forthcoming, then send an appeal using the template in blue text you will find in the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES. Send it unchanged from The Keeper.

Get your own photos of the site and signage and/or see if there are any useful images on Google Streetview, and take screenshots of the hotel website.

Which is the parking area for the Travelodge? It looks like that it's part of the same car park as McDonald's. It's very confusing.

I received a PCN on a Travelodge car park and on that car park it was free overnight but very confusing and resulted in a wedding party all receiving tickets. My PCN was not as a result of the overnight free parking.

  • It's the parking across the road in a public car park that is free in the evening. The Travelodge does not appear to have much parking on site so they are advising people to park on the public car park. It is confusing because the car park mentioned as being free in the evening is nothing to do with Travelodge.

Facilities About ParkingParking informationPaid parking is available on site on a first come first serve basis. Charges are as follows:Up to 20 mins freeUp to 1 hr £1.00Up to 2 hrs £1.90Up to 4 hrs £ 2.90 Up to 24hrs £ 4.50All parking is paid via the RingGo App.Alternative parking is available nearby at Day Street car park (postcode: WS2 8EW).Parking costs £3.10 per day, and is free between 6.30pm - 7.30am.

I think that the fact that they have included the parking tariff for a car park that is nothing to do with the Travelodge is confusing. They should have just said that there is alternative pay and display car parking.

I think that the car park they are referring to is Bate Street not Day Street.
