New (ish) Rovers = Less !/2Price
The airfields full of Rover cars, we've seen in the news, are now begining to be dispossed of, in auction.
They are within British Car Auction SPECIAL sales, of around 200 or so cars, for each sale.
You CAN'T buy, as ordinary member of the public, but you CAN, if you're an approved BCA Account holder. This is something all reputable independent garages would be.
You'd need to find out if the garage would purchase one, on your behalf, charge you a commission for this service & NOT expect them to be liable for any come backs. You won't get a warranty, but can buy one easy enough, should you desire.
So if you wanted a Rover, forget NEW, buy one with a few tens of miles, or few hindreds, on the clock & save BIG TIME, certainly less than 1/2 list price.
There are also, some of the employee lease cars, being returned early, with more miles on, at bigger savings.
& I would think scare stories on parts availability, not to be too much of a problem, in reality. Theres always someone, able to find however rare a component, it seems.
Worth a thougfht!!
