Student Finance Wales Grant

My OH is applying for a Grant, we are not married and have been living in our newly mortgaged home since March 2007.

Student Finance Wales are asking for proof of my income...will this affect her application and amount received?

Thanks :)

My partner went back to Cardiff Uni in September to do a MSc.
He applied for funding and was told he has to have at least £5k in the bank to be able to get any funding!

I am the only earner and we hae just bought a flat. His course fees were funded and he received a £800. That was it....don't understand the Welsh system, as surely if your had £5k in the bank you would not need to apply for funding in the very first place.

We found out that to get a Grant for a part time course you need to be doing 30 hours a week! ...surely thats not a part time course?!?
