Thanks to the good folks on here, I learnt on here to freeze flour before storage to prevent insects breeding in the flour. Does the same apply to cornflour? Thanks.

I don't think you're supposed to freeze corn based flours but can't remember why.
I don't freeze flour anyway, but I do keep it in sealed containers with any oxygen absorber.
I've never founds any insects in flour although some are very small, it's just extra protein.4 -
My cornflour just lives in the cupboard, but I keep the top closed with one of those klippit type clips.3

I keep my in a cupboard with a spring clip from Lakeland but unfortunately no longer available - popped in there last week for some more but only had the Klipets which I'm not keen on. Bought a huge bag from a Chinese shop several years ago and still going strong!

I freeze all flour before use, and at present I have a jar of cornflour in the cupboard in use, and a packet stored in the freezer for when it’s needed.2

I keep my cornflour in its box with the inside bag clipped closed and although it's from pre-pandemic I haven't had any problems.5 -
Don't find that clothes pegs work very well but would image bulldog clips would be a great substitute - will have to look out for some!
I like the clips for bags of frozen veg etc.

My cornflour lives in a clip-top jar, as do all my staples.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Cornflower used to come in a cardboard drum with a plastic lid. It seemed to keep for.... ever!
Mine is in its original box but the crunchy plastic bag has split so i have just put it in a plastic sandwich bag with a clippit type clip.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
