Bad Investment or not?

I have invested a sum of money with a company called REWS(Renewable Energy Waste Solutions). I have tried to contact them on the contact number, which is not a recognised number. Have I been stupid and been conned? Any help would be most appreciated. Presidenti

How did you first hear about this company?

This 2019 report doesn't seem to be encouraging:

Bonds offering stupid (for then) high rates would be a red flag to me.

    This company?

Accounts overdue, a motion to strike off and a revolving door for directors - none of those are exactly good signs.

Where did you hear about them and why did you decide to invest?

I don't know whether you have been conned or not but presumably you were aware of the following before you parted with your money
    • Renewable Energy Waste Solutions UK Plc (Company Number: 10641513) trading as rewsuk.com is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
As an unregulated company you have no access to FSCS protection or recourse to the FoS
    • Please note that capital invested is at risk and you may lose some or all of your investment. All investments carry an element of risk, which may stem from their illiquidity, leverage, investment horizon and general risks associated with investments. These risks include capital loss, dilution of shareholder value, that dividends will not be declared, and illiquidity risk due to the absence of a viable secondary market for a particular product. The value of investments may rise or fall due to the volatility of world markets, interest rates or changes in the rate of exchange for the currency in which the investment is denominated. Some investments can experience significant volatility and value fluctuations in a very short space of time, which may present an increased risk of losing your original capital.

An investment like this is extremely high risk and typically only suitable for around 5% of the population who are willing to lose the lot but perhaps put no more than 3-5% of their invested assets into it.

So, for the vast majority of the public, it would have been a bad investment irrespective of the outcome.
