My wife and I have a joint current account.
Is it possible for one of us to open a current account with another bank and be able to take advantage of the deals being advertised at present?
Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

.definitely, NOT definately ......separate, NOT seperate
should have, NOT should of .....guaranteed, NOT guarenteed
I was encouraging the OP (and/or his wife) to open (a) new sole current account(s) so that they can then take advantage of any switching offers they might like to take part in! With their new sole current accounts available to them, they can then, should they wish to do so, apply for any suitable account with a switching deal and switch a new sole current account, thus leaving their original joint current account completely unaffected by any of this.
If you have a long-standing current account, joint or sole, it is often better to keep it rather than switch it!
I don't think there are any offers which are for simply opening an account- yes, there was one, and that was with First Direct- but not sure if it is still available. However it was for £20 not £100+
if you want to get a welcome bonus then the easiest way would be to each open an account- usually with your existing bank and then switch them making sure you have met the t&cs - often 2 x DDs & minimum pay in.
Probably better to keep you existing joint account where it is .

But, yes, I admit that I missed "to open a current account with another bank". Guilty as charged.
