I have just replaced some leaking basin tap levers with some of these https://www.diy.com/departments/brass-tap-gland-dia-35mm-pack-of-2/1242462_BQ.prd?rrec=true
The cold tap went absolutely fine.
On the hot tap there is was no isolator and the gate valve feeding the hot water cyclinder wouldn’t fully close so I got the supply down to a trickle by closing as far as I could and then opening other taps. I changed the lever as quickly as I could but part way through the bottom washer fell out with a brass hexagon fitting. I popped it back in and reassembled the tap as quickly as I could.
The hot tap shuts off the water ok but when you turn it on, it gently springs shut rather than staying on as the cold one does.

Although this seems great from a water/energy saving perspective, will it lead to issues down the line and should I look to redo?
(will look to replace all the stop cocks and fit isolators as a project in another day!).
