Problem with Advent wireless mouse

Hi. Bought an Advent AMWLBL19 wireless mouse about 6 months ago. It stopped working so I've changed the batteries but all that happens is it lights up for a second, the light near the scroll wheel flashes a couple of times then it goes dead. Tried better quality batteries, no luck. Any suggestions?

You may want to get another new mouse then
I mean the Advent mouse is cheap anyway. China crap.
check out the "Logitech Master 2s" is also wireless with rechargeable battles and mine is good five years old1
