I’m in exactly the same position. Have received a letter saying I automatically qualify, yet come out as not eligible when I do the checker. I am on PIP and contribution based ESA, but these are non qualifying benefits. Interested to hear what you find outStinkerPinker said:We had one of those letters too this morning, also a WHDS3 heading. I'm almost sure we DON'T qualify yet the government checker defaults to "your eligible" as soon as it knows there is a WHDS3 reference.
When we tell the checker we haven't had a letter and proceed down the decision pathway we come out as ineligible whichever of us we use as a test subject.
Still, I'm happy to be proved wrong if it means money thrown at us! I'll have to contact them to clarify this afternoon.

So glad to find this thread, similar, we've had a WHDS3 letter, contribution-based ESA, and PIP, so according to the online checker not eligible.
Can't explain why, tried to call the support line, but they didn't really have an answer beyond yes, the computer says that you are eligible.
Not sure if the energy supplier makes a difference, but we are with Octopus, and are on the priority services register; just wondering if there is something supplier specific going on.0 -
I've also received a WHDS3 letter even though I get no income related benefits.

mikes12345 - we have the exact same combo of benefits, though to someone whose name is not on the Energy account. We are not with Octopus, so I don't think it is supplier specific. We are not on the priority services register, although we could be if we wanted.0

Actually, same regarding name on the account - my name is on the energy account, whereas my wife is the one with the benefits. I get no benefits at all so I'm quite confused.StinkerPinker said:mikes12345 - we have the exact same combo of benefits, though to someone whose name is not on the Energy account.0 -

I think it will be automatically credited to your dad's energy account.carter90cmc said:Got my letter last month with the letter type : WHDS3
