Looking to invest in a laptop in the sales this weekend.
Mostly for everyday use at home, however I am also looking to possibly take on more study so not sure if I need something a bit beefier than an everyday option? Preferably not a Mac as I’ve tried and not got on with them in the past.

Budget is around £3-400 but could stretch a bit more if it would mean it lasts longer/performs better.

Ebay is never short of refurbished Thinkpads.Obviously make sure you go for a seller with a big feedback score.E.g. this looks pretty beefy for not much moneyThe only thing to bear in mind with Thinkpads is that they're aimed at the corporate market so screens tend to be fine rather than amazing.

Have a look at these

Personally will pick Acer i5 + 16GB RAM + 512 SSD from Currys.
This probably don't need upgrading RAM or SSD for 4-5 years0
