I am just your average laptop user . E-mails , google , playing games . Have an acer at moment .
Looking for advice on what to buy around black friday deals .
Only really want to spend £300 with a bit of wiggle room .
My laptop at moment i bought refurbished on amazon and it has worked for around 7 or 8 years but i am not sure to go for refurbished or new .
I see martin lewis has recommended different types of refurbished laptops on amazon in grades of new , good and used .
Or i could go for new .
Asus and acer in curry's are £500 reduced to £300 and aldi are going to give deal on medion notebook on black friday .
I am retired so will not use it for work .
Any advice appreciated .

Acer make/made hundreds of laptops, so you'll have to be a bit more specific.  Which Acer model do you have?  (usually a model number on the bottom)

Might just need more memory and an SSD.

Until that day comes, We do not know what the deals are when Friday black sales do arrive. Since you need basic everyday usage makes things a little easy when picking. Picking up a good deal is the first trick and I would go with a new and rather refurbished one.

Check this out - ASUS Vivobook 15 X515JA on amazon for £330 and might be cheaper on sales soon

You missed out most of the specs.

    i5- what number?
What sort of windows- pro or home?
    Screen size and type?
    Convertible or standard?
    price?
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

    What game are you paying

Is it the £399 at currys you referring to?

Looks like good price for its spec.
