Gas v Electric shower

I got rid of my old triton and installed a new one this year, already it’s struggling to give a decent shower pressure at an acceptable temperature. Thought I was just unlucky but it seems to be the norm here. Couldn’t go higher than 8.5 as the existing cabling is only spec for max 8.5.housebuyer143 said:A lot of people do not have 30kw boilers but more likely 18kw or 20kw. That makes a gas powered shower much cheaper than the electric in a lot of circumstances.
Not to mention electric showers are depressingly weak in the winter.0 -
Given the cost of the new shower and install, would it not have been worth the extra to uprate the circuit and RCD? 8.5kW is about as low as new units go these days.Yorkshire_Pud said:
