EPG to stay?

The Guardian is reporting that the government are expected to continue to offer what seems to be fairly broad support - maybe not as targetted as some might have expected. Looking like average bill of £3000 - £3100, but no comment on how this might be achieved. Maybe just the EPG with different numbers, or maybe an updated £400 per household scheme. I wonder how much we'll hear tomorrow?

Faisal Islam on BBC news @ 10 suggested ‘average’ fuel bill would rise from £2500 to £3000. Also expects pensions & benefits to rise in line with inflation @ 10%.0

The £400 scheme is making quite a bit of difference at the moment too0

For low users the £400 might be making a bigger impact than EPG, especially if they on an older pre 2022 tariff.
New EPG now confirmed to exist for 12 months from April (remember its a political promise) but less generous at an average cost of £3000.0
