Looking for some advice please on a deposit.
Yesterday I ordered a kilt and paid a £150 deposit. Today I have found the exact same kilt for £100 cheaper from a my Mums local shop.
My first step is to approach them and ask them to drop pricematch but if they dont what rights do I have to claim back my deposit? Do I have a 14 day cooling off period similar to buying anything else? As I only paid the deposit less than 24 hours ago I could argue that they havent started making the kilt yet and should be due the money back.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatly you have paid a deposit for items that at the time you wanted - I assume a Kilt is made to order so they may well have incurred costs already. They may well as a gesture of goodwill refund your deposit but there is no obligation for them to do so - in fact they could probably chase you for the full amount as you entered into the contract with them. Probably not what you wanted to hear I'm afraid.0

I didnt really want to hear that but thats what I expected. Not like me as I normally check prices everywhere. Expensive lesson learnt!0 -
