Hi all,
My partner has been approved for a Zable card. I have never heard of them before and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with them and how often they increase limits as she’s only been given about £500?
Thanks

Any lender will judge limit increases based on behaviour, use card, get statement, pay in full by direct debit. If she's only got £500 either the lender doesn't like giving good limits or she has a poor credit history (perhaps why she's got this firm not a mainstream one?). Don't act desperate for big limits particularly if income is low, it's a big red flag and a low limit indicates she's a big risk to the lender.
The 39.9% APR and very limited website (it used to be the Level card) is very much a credit builder and Debt Camel doesn't recommend them - primarily because you need to give them a CPA to take the balance in full every month or you are charged interest from the purchase date0 -
I have a zable (Level as they were) card, started at £250 limit and raised to £400 then £1000 through time and use. I don't use it now but haven't closed it. @Deleted_User is right in that payments are taken by CPA vs DD and if you opt not to repay in full each month, you pay interest from the transaction date not the statement date. I keep it as a back up now bit it will likely be closed. They gave me a CC when my circumstances were far worse than now and my credit rating was in its infancy of repair, and I can't knock them for their contribution to where I am now financially, but if you don't HAVE to get a card with them, don't. If your circumstances dictate they are your best option, do it, but repay in full.
CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.1
