Switch separate accounts into a joint account

My husband and I currently hold separate current accounts - Lloyds and First Direct. Are we able to switch them to a joint account - looking at the Nationwide incentive offer? How would we go about getting them switched.
Thanks

IIRC, switching a sole account in(to) a joint one isn't a problem, unlike vice versa.

It is not a problem but you will only get one switching bonus…
a better strategy would be to open a joint account and then for only one of you to use CASS to switch into it. The other could first use another switching incentive with another bank and only then switch into the joint account (either manually or automatically through CASS)1 -
Or you could each switch into Nationwide picking up the bonus each. After that you might want to merge into a joint account- if that's what you really want.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I haven't checked the T&C closely, but is the bonus not given for switching? Two switches, two bonuses. The T&C do say "If you’re switching into a joint account with us, you’ll only receive one payment into the account for that switch", but I don't think this means one bonus for two switches.

I think it's quite clear you only get one bonus. If you switched 20 accounts do you think you would get 20 bonuses? To get a bonus each you each need to switch into a different NW account.

If you switched 20 accounts do you think you would get 20 bonuses? In the T&Cs there is a section headed "When won't I qualify - what are the exclsions?"In here, numbered paragraph 2 says "You also won't qualify for this offer if:"In here, bullet point two says "you're switching into a Nationwide account that has already been switched into and benefitted under this or any previous current account online switch offer since 18 August 2021"So when a couple each switch into a joint account the first switch to complete will get a bonus but the second will not as the account will already have benefitted etc. Is that clear enough?4
