Lol, to the fur! We had water slaters living in our big, lead, header tank. When they got sucked into the hot tank, the heat killed them and you ended up with bits of dead water slater in the bath. The lead tank was another reason not to drink the hot water, or even the cold from the bathroom tap. The joys of Victorian plumbing!QrizB said:Apodemus said:I, too, was brought up in circumstances where you tended to assume that the header tank for the hot-water system was an open tank, with all manner of life (and death!) in it and best avoided for drinking.Growing up, we had bats in the loft. Water to brush your teeth?
No water should be used to brush teeth, paste on brush, do the clean, spit out excess, done. Don't ever rinse, the remaining toothpaste is still working on your teeth.
You could use hot or cold to rinse the toothbrush after though.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
