Hi have issues with a leak.
I have tried to get in contact with management company of flat, as the roof is leaking when heavy rain into the bathroom light fitting. There are two flats on this floor and one studio apartment above. Next door neighbour is also having issues along with studio flat at very top.
Despite having contact detail's for them the phone does not work and there is no answer from email. Having checked companies house they are still active but owe this years accounts.
Is there a standard procedure in circumstances like this when you cannot get hold of the register property management company

There's not really any standard procedure.
How long have you been trying to contact them for?
I guess you could try arguing that the freeholder is negligent because their management company don't answer their phones or respond to 'emergency' emails.
So you could claim from them for any further damage done to your flat and contents resulting from the freeholder's unreasonably long time to respond.
In an extreme case, you could consider getting the problem fixed yourself, and claim the costs from the freeholder. See: https://www.lease-advice.org/article/self-help-a-useful-option-for-the-unhappy-leaseholder/
(As an aside, how many floors up is the flat roof? The problem might just be that rainwater gully (drainpipe) is blocked by leaves and/or moss, causing the flat roof to flood. Somebody with a ladder might be able to deal with it by pulling a few handfuls of leaves and moss out of the gully.)

Define "management Company" please.
Is this
a) property management company appointed/employed by the freeholder to manage the building on his/their behalf?
Or
b) company that owns the freehold?
If a) you have no real contractual relationship.
If b) you have a lease with them, as freeholder, and can use the law to enforce the terms of your lease (eg freeholder duty to maintain/repair...)
Other options may be to buy the lease (right to buy - enfranchisement))
Or take on the management yourselves. 'Right to Manage'0 -
Hi thanks for response just to clarify its. Not a flat roof.
Subsequently thave now found out that the management company has been desolved0
