    Has he? It is likely a token percentage of the original offer price.  Better than nothing but we await to hear the full offer price.

    However, maybe its time to stick to the deal. 3x multiple on income is very modest. Its an uncertain market so you will never likely know for sure if you could negotiate another 1 or 2 % reduction. In 5 years of living in your own home that wont matter.
