Old Seeboard Shares?

Hi all,
Does anyone know what happened to the old Seeboard shares, I understand that they were purchased by an American company before being purchased by EDF.
I found some old paperwork on these shares and not sure if they are worth anything.
Thanks,
Stuart/

Unlikely they're worth anything now. They would have been converted long ago and a new certificate supplied. Are these your shares? If not has the person who owned them moved house since they were issued?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Wow, this is really delving into ancient history... It was bought in 1995/96 by Central & South West Corporation in an apparently all cash deal so I think the answer is no, the holder should have received a cheque.StuartUSA said:

Stuart/CSW then merged with another American firm named AEP which later sold this business to EDF.I really wish people would throw their old, defunct share certificates away...

Yes, they are mine, and yes I have moved several times since they were issued, moving again and came across them and couldn't remember the disposition.jimjames said:Unlikely they're worth anything now. That's a long time not pay attention to one of your investments... Do you also have old bank statements from 1996? There will probably be a cheque deposit for the amount per share multiplied by your holding mentioned in the article.StuartUSA said:wmb194 said:I really wish people would throw their old, defunct share certificates away...
I do when I have confirmed, but this is the first time I've come across them, they had been filed away in a box since 1995.We've had people on here before asking about long gone companies from decades ago saying that they contacted the registrar but they had no idea. I wouldn't get your hopes up of finding a definitive answer.0
