I don't think so... not unless you always use the US iTunes store rather than the UK one. You'd need a US address and then always login from a US IP address (use a proxy server to do this from the UK) to use iTunes.com

ive noticed theres a seller on ebay selling gift cards at 7.50 above the face value , he claims to be able to sort it so you get a u.s account so that sounds okay

could you tell me more about a proxy server? im not too clever with computer talk

I don't think hiding behind a proxy will work either, as the credit/debit card details that you provide to itunes would require the correct registered address which would be the OP's UK address.

Or the vouchers codes would be in sterling.

Not if you buy USD vouchers ;)

Some steps I found on digitalspy forums after a very quick search but match other things I have been told

    1) Make a note of the US address you intend to use (some shady characters even use hotel addresses from a google search)

    2) Buy an iTunes giftcard - these are available off E-bay

    3) Log out of iTunes

    4) Change the iTunes store to the US one

    5) Press 'redeem' on the main page.

    6) It will ask you to create a new account, enter your USA address and your voucher number.

    7) That's it. Your newly created account will be credited.

ps. still think its cheaper using some of the .ru mp3 sites which are only a few pence per track but more risky way of purchasing.
