How long are they staying for?
Apart from sleeping, how much time will they be spending in the garage?!
Assuming it's kids or teenagers, I think I'd pitch a tent - IN the garage. Fill it with cushions, duvets, cosy stuff - they'll LOVE it!

If there are no restrictions on parking a caravan on your drive, then I understand that it is OK to use it occasionally as extra accommodation for guests.
We keep our caravan on our drive and our grandchildren think it is great fun for them and Mummy to come and stay in it for a night occasionally. We also had my sister in law sleeping in it for 5 nights this summer when we had more guests than spare beds.1
