Funding Gatehouse Fixed rate

Just in case it helps anyone:

Was just about to fund my Gatehouse fixed rate taken out about 3 weeks ago and remembered in the back of my mind I had seen this earlier post

Email following application says  "As a reminder, we will apply the profit rate that was shown on our website when you applied for your account (or a higher rate if we have increased it), provided that you send us your deposit amount by bank transfer or by cheque within 14 days of making your application"
Phoned them and they have confirmed that the window is 30 days and the 14 day 'clause' (in bold above) no longer applies.

They also confirmed that the usual test payment  to confirm payee details was OK, but would be rejected if under £1000 - but the rejection email would effectively confirm payee details correct.
