What would you like advice about?0

To report her or not. She's told all my family she has power.0

Is it criminal?0

Ask to see the document?
Most organisations make you jump through hoops to be able to do anything under an LPA, so there is a limit to what your sibling could achieve just by saying it. Banks, for example, would need to see either a certified copy of the LPA or the original document, along with proof of ID and address.1 -
What sort of Power of Attorney is she claiming to have? Nobody needs to take her word for it, so ask to see it.0

Opg100 from office of public guardianship says she's not registered0

There's currently a delay in registering POA, so she could be telling the truth.biggysmaller said:Opg100 from office of public guardianship says she's not registered
Telling an untruth isn't normally a criminal offence. If all she's doing is making the claim, but not actually taking any action, then there is nothing to do - currently. If she tries to take any action which requires POA, she'd have to provide proof to the bank or whatever organisation she is trying to deal with.biggysmaller said:Is it criminal?
Point out to her that she isn't registered and ask her to explain why not.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
