No harm in trying, but normally Saga are expensive.Katiehound said:I wonder if it would be worth your while to contact Saga after all they only sell policies to over 50s. Just a thought.
They can surprise you at times. I had Saga and found them competitive until one year they went mad, and then I changed. What they do have are real UK based people who's native language is English on the end of the phone, which helps if trying to explain

Ring a broker and see what they say, OP
Then take it from there via compare sites/etc/etc
Not sure what car you have but certain cars attract mush lower rates. If your quotes are very high and car is getting old, consider a different car with lower insurance bandings but before you buy, check insurance quotes for that.

There is no need for the insurance to be in your name. It is quite common for people with disabilities to own and insure cars in their own name that they never drive.
You need to tell your insurer that the owner / registered keeper is no longer driving and you are now the main (only?) driver.1 -
My husband is due to renew his license next year, but he has decided not to because he cannot see properly to drive. I'm very proud of him, because he knows that if he attempted to drive, he could put other life's at risk. I will be the sole driver, there is no one else, but I have taken everyone's advice on board and will phone the insurance company Friday.Nebulous2 said:There is no need for the insurance to be in your name.
