Chipboard floorboards replacement

I need to get the chipboard floorboards replaced in a bedroom and hallway as they are creaky and uneven. The total area is 18sqm or less. The first guy I got in quoted £2450 which seems excessive to me. I'm awaiting other quotes but they are just taking a while to get back to me. I mentioned that I was more interested in price than speed, and the guy suddenly had a "discount on materials" which reduced the quote to £2150. He said it would take 2 people working for 2 days.

I've had a quick look and Wickes 22mm flooring grade chipboard is about £16 per sq mtr, retail. If you do some measurement that will provide a ball park for materials, then you can see what they are charging per day for labour. 2 men for 2 days shouldn't be more than about £1k tops. Don't forget to allow for disposal of the stuff they take up, and to confirm that removal is included in the price.
