E: 08/12 Win a cosy weekend away with dinner, cocktails and breakfast worth £550!
https://muddystilettos.co.uk/reader-treats/win-weekend-away-castle-pub-farnham/
Fancy a thoroughly indulgent weekend away? How about two nights at cosy pub The Red Lion in Odiham, with hearty breakfasts and a dinner thrown into the mix, as well as cocktails and a slap-up three-course meal at newly-refurbished sister pub The Castle in Farnham? Oooh, go on then!
Kick off your weekend at The Castle Pub, which has been beautifully spruced with Art Deco-inspired details, chic artwork and all manner of cosy nooks and crannies to create a chic hotspot in the heart of Farnham’s town centre. You’ll tuck into an arrival cocktail from their well-stocked bar, then be treated to a three-course meal with wine in the light and airy dining room – all knocked up from seasonal, local ingredients, naturally.
Happily full, you’ll then head down the road to The Castle’s sister pub, The Red Lion in Odiham for a nightcap and a stay in one of their chic rooms (hello, king-sized beds with super-soft linen, rainfall showers, wooden panelling and, of course, the must-have minibar). Bounce out of bed the next morning for your included brekkie, before you head out to explore Odiham, with its local antiques shop, boutiques and cafés and Basingstoke Canal an easy five minutes’ walk away, or the Home Counties countryside, with Hambledon Vineyard, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, the National Trust’s Tudor big hitter The Vyne, and Farnham Castle all within easy reach. Just be back in time for dinner at The Red Lion and you’re in for another night of blissful kip before heading off the next morning, totally rejuvenated.
