Halifax are offering 4.77% 3 year fixed as a special deal to existing borrowers with a balance under £150,000.
This is not available to new borrowers!I am a Mortgage Broker

I enquired at beginning of October and was offered 3.69% 3 yr fix. Bank of Scotland (part of Halifax) existing customer. Its taken a month to get all the paperwork sorted, so hoping that it stays the same rate. At the time of enquiring they said I have until February to accept and move across.1

I'm currently with Halifax and our fixed rate at 2.39 comes to an end in July 2023. We have never had what I call a cheap rate below 2% our timings were always off due to moving away for jobs. I am really dreading next year with everything going up. We already overpay our mortgage by £350 a month in rediness for next year so its not such a shock, with only a small amount of savings, we have decided to throw everything at the mortgage in the hope that with less than £90k on the mortgage we get a better rate. My MIL thinks its funny that we will finally be paying a higher rate of interest next year along with all other young people...its like she wants us all to be homeless!0
