Minor crack, or possible something serious?

I noticed a crack in the garage (attached and part of the house)  today after a job.

Its a vertical, jagged crack, like stairs.  Just hairline right now as seen in the picture.  There is another 'step,' in the crack before it goes down to the floor.  It looks like the previous owner may have filled it in in places.  Watch it for a few months, or get someone to have a look now?

Cheers.

House is cavity, built in 60's.  Not quite sure about the garage.

where about in the uk do you live?
in London after the dry weather etc, pretty common and we have a few in the house up and downstairs but there may be slight movement in our house bot no cracks outside - all of our walls are plastered and white paint see easily noted.

If that was my place and no cracks outside, I'd keep an eye on it but do nothing atm.

    No, just inside.

Thanks, yes I'm in London.  So that makes sense about the movement.  It really is hairline right now, and there is no crack to the outer brickwork.

However, I'm a little concerned that they are jagged and stair like.  What I've read online indicates that this could be a sign of subsidence.

Here's a couple of more pics, the second 'step,' in the middle and the bottom of the crack.
