Tarpaulin That Will Not Rot Quickly In Full Sun

I have a wooden framed yurt which has a leaky roof. A friend is going to remake the roof at some point when he is in the area. In the meantime I am using a plastic tarpaulin as a temporary cover, but these are prone to breaking up after a time presumably perishing in direst sunlight.
Can anyone recommend makes or materials to buy that are likely to last longer - about 3m square. Ideally I would like something translucent as there are clear panels in the roof, but this is not essential.

you want something that is UV-stable, it is the UV that causes the plastic to break down.
Unfortunately I can't link you to anything but at least you will know the question to ask ...0 -
A lightweight wax proofed water resistant canvas tarpaulin with brass eyelets (buytarpaulins.co.uk) would do till you get repair done, then it is a handy thing to have around.
Being canvas is a natural material would fit in with yurt ethos.1 -
PVC film is more resistant to UV than other plastics. I've seen something like transparent tarpaulin - reinforced PVC film with eyelets.https://www.allplas.co.uk/acatalog/Clear-Reinforced-PVC-Sheet-5mm-polyester-mesh--Finished--per-square-metre--1033.html - just some result of google search .
