As luck would have it I dropped my wireless mouse at work yesterday.  My own fault.  And yes, of the 3 buttons on it, 2 of which I have never used in over 20 years with this type of mouse, it's only the one button I use that is broken.  It looks fine, not smashed, just dead.  If you push/click it there is no "bounce" IYKWIM.

So is this repairable?  There's no screws to undo so it appears to be a sealed unit which counts against repairs I suspect.  But would a knowledgable individual know some trick?

The reason it's important that I get it fixed is I can't replace it.  It's a special ergo Contour mouse and production of them stopped a few years back.  They are available second hand but are currently selling in the UK at full RRP of around £100.

I have managed to get it to limp along by switching from right to left button use which is ok as it's what I do whenever using the wrong handed mice.

Have you removed the battery to see if there is a screw under it?
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

I expect it can be fixed, but the cost of a repair might be significant.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
