Normally if I want to change my overdraft you just click on the tap but we now keep getting the message something went wrong and please try later. I have tried via the main computer and the app.  I have spoken to Lloyds who assure me there is no restriction on the account and have advised deleting cookies and history. We have done all that but makes no difference. They seem to think it is to do with our computers.  I have even tried it from a friends computer and still no joy. Also updated app but made no difference.

The problem only started a few days ago and would be interested if anyone else has recently encountered this problem.

Assuming you want to borrow money: you might have a Guardian Angel as Lloyds charge up to 39.9% APR on overdrafts. There are cheaper ways of borrowing, e.g. with a loan, with a zero % credit card etc

Are you sure its 39.9% APR ?, mines is only 14.90% APR, beyond the £600 Which is interest and Fee Free:

    Interest Tiers

    % Per month

    % EAR

    Beyond £600 interest free limit

    1.16

    14.90

I did say “up to”, based on info on the Lloyds website. On the face of it, you are somewhat lucky with “only” 14.9%, but this is still a multiple of what you would pay for a loan, even in a rising interest rate climate. It’s certainly more than a zero percent credit card, too. The £600 interest free overdraft is obviously a good deal, but it sounds as if you are after more than £600?
  • That's True, but no I have had the £600 Free overdraft as it was part of the account, I have never used it in 5+ years.
