Electric Tin Openers Compared To The Kenwood CAP70 21N48.

I recently purchased the Kenwood CAP70 electric tin opener and it is not the best thing since sliced bread.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it nearly ends up in the bin. It seems rather fiddly at times.
Any one any ideas or is the Kenwood the best it gets.

We got one of their earlier ones and another one before that I think - Like THIS
Been very happy with it - swear by it many more times than we swear at it
Not sure how/if them mechanism is really any different - seems unlikely apart from fine tuning AKA cost cutting
What the issue ? - getting the 1st grab/cut of the tin, just occasionally that can be an issue
Review HERE - does say that can be an issue on CAP70

We've tried several but always end up using a manual one.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Main issue is starting the Kenwood, getting the tin in the right position for the motor to start and 4 it starting to cut the lid.
Tried turning the tin upside down, not as daft as it seems, and also not sure if tearing the paper off the tin helps. It appeared to be better to day with paper off. Would it have been OK with paper on? Who knows?
Certain tins always seem problematical.
All views and experiences welcome.
Thanks

Hi Binao.
That's the baby I have, bought after a fair bit of research with a balance of cost vs effectiveness.
It was a pain from the off. Just struggled to pierce the lid and get going - it seemed to skate over the metal surface, and wouldn't puncture it. I'd have to thump the thingy down for it to penetrate, as the cutting edge is spring-loaded so cannot just be 'pressed' to work.
I removed the cutting head and had a feel of the cutting edge - not at all sharp. Not sure what I used - a hand file or an angle grinder (gently), but I sharpened the front edge of blade and this simply transformed its operation.
Clearly this shouldn't have been needed, but it seemed clear to me that the issue was that the cutter would not pierce the lid, but instead just skate round, trying to push the WHOLE can down, and out of its clamp. So the can kept needing to be reinserted.
Probably time for another trim. I'll take photos to show the issue.1
