Is my Gas Bill Wrong
Comments

So contacted E.ON Next again today. Asked them regarding the calculation of KWH. Apparently this property is the only property in the UK that records volume in cubic feet. They refused point blank to accept the reading is in cubic meters.
their official line is that the bill is correct and they will continue to chase for the debt even though the ombudsman’s investigation is still ongoing.
They advise we should pay the bill now and if the ombudsman finds in our favour they will refund.
I have decided to start a video blog outlining every interaction until this is resolved.2 -
I think one of the national newspaper consumer champions would be a good contact.Disabled person being charged 3 times what they should for their gas and threatening debt collectors and company will not admit they are wrong despite their obvious errors being pointed out to them. They lap up that sort of story and they usually have a hot line to someone at the top.And your MP.3

As the meter is reading in cubic metres, and they are charging you in (100s) cubic feet, I'm sure Trading Standards would also take an interest. Have a chat with your local Citizens Advice and ask that they raise it with Trading Standards (they [CAB] might also be able to help with Eon's intransigence).
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.5 -
this is a tricky one. i wouldn't pay but OH probably would. thats because he doesn't like risk when it comes to money. i wouldn't say theres risk but if were wrong and the bill is somehow right then you could (possibly) end up with a higher bill thanks to debt collection costs. and in the mean time i expect they would report it to the credit reference agencies (not sure if you care about that) and it can be a pain in the bum to get things removed (if they do make sure that them getting it sorted is part of your claim for the ombudsman)angrydad1802 said:

Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0
