Ryanair Damaged suitcase - no PIR (due no staff)

had a flight with Ryanair last month and arrived back at Manchester Airport about 11:30pm (flight was delayed) my new hard case was seriously damaged and there was no staff in baggage hall to raise file with. Wandered around T3, went to check-in area but all flights closed and no staff to be found. Eventually found someone from Manchester Airport staff that didn't know if anyone would still be around and suggested taking photos and contact them
Got back to friends place and tried contact but only bot available so next morning spoke to chat person and raised an after fly payment query as directed. (sent the photos which have location and time) Have been waiting patiently for the follow up to find that they have marked is as 'solved' (no contact, no PIR)
Have now raised follow up but frustrated that my £70 case managed 1 trip and I have no PIR to either claim from airline or insurance and Ryanair mention claims must have PIR from airport plus be claimed within 7 days (now on day 25) I have receipt for case but cannot submit claim without PIR reference
Case cracked down one whole edge and completely unusable, now in friends loft and borrowed a case to get home
Any ideas?

Not sure if 'raising an after fly payment query' or your follow-up counts or not, but if not then go through Ryanair's complaints process (as opposed to the claims one) until you get their final response, and then (assuming unresolved) off to Aviation ADR or letter before action?1
