Good morning, thanks for starting NMlLC.Seems to be a fine morning as far as I can tell, I hope it stays that way.Thank you for your kind words everyone, on the loss of a second friend of mine,. you're all so thoughtful. After the funeral of my first friend we'll go to the wake for a time, then it'll be back home, to put our things in the car, then head off for N YorksMy nephew texted yesterday to say we can take over the cottage from 4pm, and giving us the key code in case we get there first. He and his friend are travelling from Cheshire, but it's not as far for us.We'll catch up with extended family while we're there.Yesterday was just a general housework and tidying day, and putting a few things together to take away, we don't need much, we'll be home on Monday.Thinking of our poorly and fed up people,, hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.13

Morning All
It's blowing a hoolie out there, hope it doesn't rain as a brollie will be useless!
Hope the funeral goes as well as it can Scarlet. Have a lovely weekend away.
Glad you're enjoying your week off Izzy.
That doesn't seem right Coxy, moving the closing date and not telling anyone. Very naughty.
Good to hear from you Mehefin.
Friday at last, it's been a tough week. I turned off the light at 9.01 (very precise!) last night and didn't wake up until 5.45, it was a much needed long sleep.
Washing can go on when I get home, my work stuff can go in. Must do some housework too, I could write my name in the dust in the living room!
Hope everyone is well. Take care. XX12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nlmc x
I'm in London today and I'm suited and booted as boss has a number of guests in for a meeting - we even got to order refreshments wow! Feels a bit odd being trussed up in a blouse and pencil skirt after nearly 3 years! DH is on dinner duty tonight and we will have SW bacon, ham and spinach pasta. The chicken jalfrezi last night wasn't as hot as I'd like but there's 2 portions frozen so will suffer it again next week lol.
Hope today goes as well as it can @ScarletRibbons - thinking of you x
I too need to do some housework this weekend @camelot1001 - we have a quiet weekend planned so that's tomorrow's job.
Hope all the poorlies are bearing up and have a good day all.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We are almost back to summer today says the weatherman. Fine, dry and 16 degrees is forecast.
I have an early Ocado delivery this morning and an email tells me I have no subs and nothing oos. This is my 3rd order with them and I really can't praise them highly enough after the debacles I had with T's. Always on time, all fresh stuff well in date and, as yet, nothing subbed or oos. It would be more perfect if they brought it all in and put it away for me!!
Once that's out of the way it will be the usual dust and vac all around. I did the kitchen and bathroom yesterday and even got the tedious sewing job out of the way that I have kept putting off.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, fed up and MIA. SCARLET I hope the funeral goes well and you have a nice few days away (Our caravan site is not far from Ripon but it's now shut up until 1st March) Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all.Yesterday turned out much differently than planned. I didn't enjoy 'Banshees...' and later in the afternoon was very unwell. I felt a bit better later but decided to not go to the theatre just in case it happened again, just as well really as the other end joined in. 🥲 It was almost a repeat of what I had back in late September though I didn't feel so ill then. I'm OK now though not going for breakfast.Later on I'm meeting up with my late DM's crossword friend for lunch, I will nibble something very light as I'm driving home afterwards. In my mind I know the locations of every public toilet from Glasgow to home. 😂
Scarlet- I hope all goes well today.Coxy - back to proper office clothes is always a strange feeling. My thoughts to everyone today, some will drift to the past at 11am. Happy Friday to all.13 -
Morning
TA have you asked them if they would? Asda and Morrisons always bring mine in and put on a kitchen surface so I don't have to bend down to empty. I can take my time putting it all away then. They offered to put away too but I'm too ashamed of the crammed cupboards!
Had a few days with dodgy internet in the area which they claim to have sorted out now. Need to catch up on news
Scarlett sorry to hear you lost your friend
Its 15 already here this morning and on its way up so no need for any heating. Friday tidy for me. My cleaner is returning next Friday so Im doing the standard clean before the cleaner ! More of a tidy really so that she can focus on the stuff I can't do like floors and anything involving bending. Looking forward to her return.
All is well with mum. She's 92 on Monday so Ive picked up some nice bits for her to open and the home put on a little cake party.
Have a good Friday everyone x

Safe drive home Gers and I hope the bug soon moves on.
Nels I was joking about them putting the shopping away. They wouldn't know where to start with the jumbled cupboards and freezers! X"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Hi everyone,
I hope the funeral goes as well as it can Scarlet. Enjoy your break.
Gers, oh no, feel better soon.
Good to see you posting Mehefin and Nelski.
Esben asked for pancakes this morning so guess what I've been doing. He didn't take to the ones with nutella (Lidl version) despite eating it out of the jar but liked the jam one. Of course I had to partake.
Oops, I need to go, just heard from Crystal so probably heading over there now.
Have a good day.13 -
Morning! Well, that weather changed fast didn't it? Supposed ot be sunny for the next few days with temperatures in the mid teens, huzzah, no heating or fire required! I went to go shopping last night after I met my friends for a coffee, there was a homeless man/beggar outside the sm, I really didn't have the strength to walk past him to say no sorry to him so I went and got petrol instead. Going out today instead too, will go to the sm, just in a different place because there's another shop I want to go to if I can't find a large bathmat. I have discovered OH is putting my 'dry myself off' towel on the floor to stand on after he showers, he may or may not have verrucas, I was gobsmacked, I asked him why, he said the water drips on the floor, I said stand on the *swear word* bathmat! So ok, for avoidance of future incidents I am looking for the biggest bathmat I can find today. To be fair, he is quite big and hairy, hence more dripping, so he does take a lot more drying than me and the current bathmat is on the small side.Camelot, enjoy your weekend off! Coxy, why more just add more spices/chilli when you reheat? And very descriptive, I laughed [sorry] I do have a little bit of rum, I've got some Red Leg, but it's not the right kind for a pud
That's what I say anyway... Gers, Oh dear, you must have been ill, I concur with Nels re hotel breakfasts....Nels, happy future birthday to your mum and huzzah! the cleaner is baaacckk!! Nan, your dad is funny, mine would have done that too, but I expect he'd have bought something for his toolshed too..snoozer, is it time? .Look after yourselves today all....
