Why the jump in markets today?

Anyone know why UK, Europe and US stock markets have jumped by relatively large amounts today?
FTSE 250 up 3.9%
Dax up 3.51%
S&P 500 up 4.14%

Consensus US inflation was expected at 7.9%. It came in at 7.7%.
Whether this is a real face-ripper rebound, or a suckers' rally, remains to be seen.1 -
