Grey X over files in Windows 10

I cannot open lots of my files because although they are there, a grey X is stopping me.
I've had this before but can't remember how to fix it.
I do know it was something to do with One Drive. Any suggestions please.

Thank you I have now discovered that if I log onto Onedrive I can view the files another way and can open them.0
