Amazon Seller sends envelope containing label instead of product - Amazon shrugs its shoulders

  • It seems like a pretty regular mistake and why is there no explanation how and why empty envelopes are sent out instead of goods, why it seems to happen so often with this particular company and why haven't they sorted the problem out, whatever it is?

As I said earlier, if it happens to you, maybe you will get it.

Anyway, **** like this is why I avoid Amazon. Obviously a lot of Amazon lovers on here.

All the quotes you show happened within 9 days.

There would be a delay until Amazon were aware of the problem and were able to take any action.. which would be refunding the buyers.

So.  they probably did investigate and take action to prevent it haappening  again.

  • 2 years later this practice is still going on  and what the problem is the hours you waste trying to sort it, amazon  it self seems to stop you being able to contact customer service about it or the seller I have spent four hours trying to do so. Why are amazon sending out pieces of paper with what seems like no intention to supply any other organisation and they would be accused of doing a scam whilst I know amazon isn't scamming anyone why are they making it to difficult and why after w years this is still going on and why has the sellers not noticed the shockin lg reviews  about it self

You say it's "Amazon" scamming people like it's one conglomerate being. In fact it's hundreds of thousands of people, some of whom aren't entirely honest, and other aren't very careful. So someone in the chain has either made a mistake or nicked your items.

One of the reasons I continue to use Amazon is that they always believe me when I report a "mistake", and refund quickly. Yes their systems can be deliberately clunky to put people off getting replacements/refunds. But as a business with the biggest choice combined with OK customer service, they're getting it right most the time.

Contrast with AliExpress, who in the past I've found excellent and cheaper than Amazon. Last year I bought a relatively expensive item of electronics (normally only spend a few quid with them) which went wrong. Their customer service was dreadful, no refund or replacement and a frustrating experience. I won't use them for anything more than a few quid again.

2 years after the OP had issues there are still problems getting spray paint delivered? I'm not surprised.

I bought some Christmas earrings from AliExpress and they refunded the money because they thought they hadn’t arrived,  They arrived in the New Year and I was told to keep them.  They didn’t want them back, they only cost 80p.  :D

I use Amazon a lot for non food items.  We live in a semi rural area and many things I buy I would have to travel a long way to get to the nearest department store or other big shops.  I’ve rarely had a problem but when I do it’s resolved quickly.  I bought a small electrical item, cost less than £50, which stopped working literally one day before the guarantee ran out.  They sent a replacement which had the same problem.  They sent a third which is still going strong.  Amazon then decided to refund the money as compensation for the inconvenience :)

Ive only had one item which didn’t arrive.  They were out of stock so sent me a refund immediately.  When it was back in stock they sent me a replacement, no charge.

That’s what I call good customer service.  From their point of view I’m a good customer
