  • So which dehumidifiers do yous all have? Would you recommend them?
Don't throw sodium chloride at people. That's a salt.

I washed the other night so I could peg out in the morning it was still wet through on my Airer after being there all night. Almost dry by the time it came off the outside line though.
The difficulty I have with this is the smell, its caused by bacteria.
Absolutely, I can’t stand any damp smell . There’s nothing worse than being next to someone and you can smell it. If there had been any smell I would be rewashing !
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.

Many Dutch people use the website buienradar.nl, which predicts rain. It's pretty accurate for at least the 3 next hours. It may be cloudy all day, but only if those clouds are likely to produce rain will it show on the website or app. I just checked, and it shows the UK as well.

Have you checked out what power you are drawing when your dehumidifiers are on? I've got a Tapo P110 energy monitor and my cheapie secondhand dehumidifier is drawing 250w when active. I bought a secondhand one last week as the Meaco ones seem to be in massive demand and we needed it urgently as we have had a lot of plastering done. The whole house has been replastered over the past few months, plus a new floor screeded, so there's still a lot of water around. Was wondering if it would be worth ordering a Meaco even if delivery isn't for several weeks if it's cheaper to run.  I'm currently using 6kwh of electric a day just on the dehumidifier.

We have a Meaco 20L. Had it for a couple of years now to replace a dehumidifier which was irreparable. Very pleased with it.
  • Washing is on the line today. I've always line dried where possible. We have a tumble drier as a back up but it's been used a lot the last few weeks as its been so damp and wet. I refuse to attempt to dry indoors as we are constantly battling against the mould at this time of year. The most I will do is air some clothes that are almost dry on a clothes horse.

I bought the12 litre Meaco Dry Arete1 one last month. It was out of stock when I first saw it but I left my email and received an email saying it was back in stock about a week later. I ordered it one day and it was delivered at 10pm the next morning. So far I am very pleased with it. This was from the actual Meaco website.

Does anyone leave a dehumidifier on at night and can hear it? Live in a flat, so wondering if it’s constant fan like a bathroom extractor fan noise?
