I’ve recently received an email from the company Empira Ltd saying I have CCJ against me, the letter email is to an old house address where I no long live
I’ve tried emailing them and it’s bounces back by saying it’s been blocked and when ringing the number provided unless I go through to the automated payment line it just rings out.

The only thing I could think it could be for is a parking ticket in 2018/19
which I appealed against as I paid for a ticket but didn’t enter the registration of the car because it wouldn’t enter on the machine,
After I appealed I had a email from Gladstone solicitors saying that I still had to pay and adding on costs
I didn’t pay and didn’t here anything else from them until now
we moved house in 2020
just hoping someone can help
thanks

If the letter from Empira (owned by the same people as Gladstones) gives a CLAIM NUMBER, ring up the CCBC at Northampton and ask for the amount, the date if CCJ and a copy of the Particulars of Claim and who the claimant was and who the solicitor was (the latter will be Gladstones).
Then come back here.
DO NOT PHONE.
DO NOT PAY! That doesn't wipe the CCJ.
You error was letting a rogue industry keep an old address for you in their database. You don't move house and not tell a PPC who was pursuing you. That way lies a CCJ.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Find everything out now, and PLEASE do bot ring them and be talked into paying to 'satisfy' the CCJ. A satisfied CCJ is not wiped, credit rating remains broken.
Worked examples of what to do are in threads by:
