Ripped off

I think I am being ripped off by my energy supplier with the £400 given to every household. My Direct Debit is £55.53 a month and it goes out on the first of the month. For the last two months I have received the payment back 7 days later. I received an email from my supplier stating this is the payment from the Energy Support Bills. But they are just paying me back what I payed. The payment is supposed to be £66 for October/November then £67 onwards. So, in affect I’m not receiving anything.
Has anyone else had this experience or can enlighten me on this as I’m getting nowhere with my supplier. Thanks and look forward I hope to some replies.

I dont understand why you think you are being ripped off. What does your bill show?
You pay your direct debit then get it paid back to you. The excess amount should be on your account as credit for future use.0 -
Welcome to the forum.
Did you check on the web site of your supplier how the payments are handled?
Most suppliers state that they will return you debit order, and if it is less than £66/£67 payment the rest will be credited to your account.1 -
They are still applying the full £66 to your account balance, so the net result is you get the £55.53 returned to your bank and you get the balance of the £66 (£66 - £55.53 = £10.47) as a reduction in your energy account balance.Soontomove said:...But they are just paying me back what I payed. So how much are you currently paying out each month for your electricity?
And how much is being credited to your electricity account?

Thank you for your replies. I got more answers from 3 of you than my own Supplier. It was not explained to me like that I would get the excess in credit. So thank you 👍🏻3
